My review / reaction to the 85th Acaedmy Awards / Oscars , let me know what you thought of the Oscars ! Like my new facebook page :p …if you wanna http://w…
it’s so famous almost anybody probably knows something about it believe it or not.
I agree with most of what you said, but I think Seth should be given another chance to host the Oscars (so far he said that he won’t). Yes, he was way too self conscious about his style of humor and he explained himself too much, but you can tell that he really loves movies. Also, he can sing. Yes, Shirley Bassey was way better, but I didn’t think Adele was terrible. I agree that Michelle is a little to omnipresent these days, but it didn’t bother me that she announced the Best Picture award.
The Master is definately more deserving for nominations than what it got acknowledged for
It didn’t work because he has to be careful with the jokes
Though those are early 1900 silents just saying.
Yeah, that was fun , I like the Ted character, hope they do the sequel
I liked your response in regards to Michelle Obama presenting, wish you wouldn’t have deleted it :(
feature the great actors and directors of Hollywood’s past just to say.
Who agrees with me!
I think David O’russell should have won either best director or screenplay
Like you, I too love the history of cinema and how the Oscars play into that said history. That being said, I disagree with you on your assesment of MacFarlane’s performance as host. To me, his jokes weren’t quiet as offensive as you took them to be, as they seemed to play into his hand in developing a self-aware sense of irony that poked fun at the audience’s predisposition to be offended. Overall, I thought it was one of the best Oscar ceremonies in years. Then again, I didn’t expect much.
My favorite moment is when ted was on there.
Now that would be entertaining
the people on stage for sound editing i believe, for life of pi’s win, graduated a somewhat no name college only 10 miles from me “bucknell university!” so who is your biggest celeb crush if jennifer lawrence isn’t #1 quite yet?
Though I don’t mine exploring Hollywood’s past history as far as the beginning of time back as early as the late nineteenth century same goes with foreign silents Like A Trip To The Moon even if it’s only eleven or thirteen some minutes in length same goes With The Great Train Robbery the Famous one with the Woman tied on the railroad track as the train is barreling down the tracks and as everybody knows what happens after but I won’t ruin it.
I’ve The Western Channel only once in my life but
Christopher walken should host
Well, let’s see…would the first lady, a woman who focuses a lot of her time on keeping her public image in a positive light NOT want to present the most prestigious award in the media industry? Would that not get her some great publicity? And even looking past her occupation, who in the world WOULDN’T want to present the award for Best Picture, hell to present ANY academy award ought to be an honor to any individual.
So, “do really think she gives a crap about the oscars”?
Yes. Yes, do.
agreed with james franco sucking as a host but keep in mind he was also nominated that year aswell so…
seth as the host pissed me off, 20 minutes at the start wasted w/ poor comedy. I didn’t like how everyone thought jessica chastane looked good, i thought she was nasty. i personally liked jennifer lawrence and naomi watts. I’d like nicolas cage host it. i liked adele, dont care about lyrics, i just love the melody w/ vocals/piano. i was quite pleasantly delighted in the results for each category. i really wanna get Amour on blu ray, it looks damn good.
No worries, mate. I deleted it to re-type the last line. ;)
My favorite moment was when the terrific Searching For Sugar Man took home the Oscar for best Documentary Feature.
