In MY opinion it’s frivolous. Along with make up, nail polish, dvds, tvs etc etc. It is not needed at all. Frivolous is defined by not having any serious purpose. Which is true. We truly do not need anything listed above and they really do not have a true meaning in life. But that doesn’t mean it hurts to want them or buy them. Frivolous is not defined by if they gain any value. At the end of the day people would be ok if they didn’t buy handbags at all.

I visited Indonesia back in March and it was amazing. It wasn’t backpacking but either way, we met local people (who are literally the happiest people on earth and have an incredible outook on life), ate local food, and even got engaged there. Definitely a trip I will remember for the rest of my life.

Hi….I love all your tutorials, however, I was wondering if you could do tutorials on other people to show how to do those looks on different types of eyes such as: deep set, hooded, small, close set, far set, eyes that bulge out (bug eyes)…sorry don’t know the technical term for that. Thanks!

I’m sure everyone who buys designer handbags are aware that it IS a frivolous purchase. It’s fine to buy them, but to think it is essential is just delusional. Frivolous isn’t bad nor offensive.

I don’t think it came across as judgemental at all really, more a personal preference. I imagine for Julia, travel and exploration would be more important that bags and shoes where as other people will save for years for a Luis Vuittion bag or something. It’s all down to the person!
