The clothes in themselves aren’t out of this world, but the van Gogh prints are to die for!

this is AWESOME. can’t wait to blog about this show.

first of all. i was disappointed. but the more that i read into and look into these clothes, the more i am liking them… there is always something subversive about the girls and what they do and this collection was the perfect balance of the pretty, gorgeousness with the colours. and the shapes. but it still had that edge in the way they manipulated the prints and how they put things together. very interesting.

Whenever I think of the Mulleavy sisters in regards to Rodarte, there is always a dark undertone that comes to my mind. This is quite the contradiction, the Van Gogh incorporations are very preeminent, most importantly, the princess sort of look that takes you aback to Alice in Wonderland or the Little Mermaid. Laura was right, I think the contrast of colours makes for a nice blend.

this “Collection” is disgraceful. I looks like a high school fashion student’s project. These two assholes make me so angry, they have everyone drinking the Kool-Aid…

Loved loved loved those diaphanous dresses (like the midnight blue number) and that blue and gold color blocked sweater. Seeing these garments in print was slightly disappointing, but I’m truly impressed after seeing them move.
